Margarette is mainly responsible for sales and design, giving her clients extra special attention to ensure their space is unique to them. She also oversees many other parts of the Sellers Room alongside the rest of its amazing team.

Margarette says, “I just love, love, love my role with the Sellers Room. I love exploring the many new products that are available to our industry and seeing how I can best use them in someone’s home no matter their spend value. Making that work is the most fun.” 

I am a mum to two girls who are now pretty much independent from me, but nothing beats a good chat and time spent with them.

Outside of the Sellers Room, Margarette enjoys paper crafts (scrapbooking, mixed media and card-making) and has a shop called The Creative Craft Room further down the Sellers Room Building. She also plays the piano for the church she belongs to and relishes a catchup with family and friends.

With a Diploma in Interior Design, and 10 years as a kitchen designer (five of those as the lead designer), Lee is always excited to work with whatever project is presented to her. For Lee, there’s nothing like playing with a space to maximise storage and create a space that functions well and looks amazing.

“Whether it's a kitchen, laundry, wardrobe, study or any other space, they're all a fun challenge to solve,” she says. “And there are now so many products to help make your storage work well – it might be a Blum space step or HKi lift system, or maybe a Hettich Cadro frame or Furnspin; a Concelo bin system can provide two or four bins, grey or white, and there are many other options from other brands. It's about finding what works best for you!” 

Outside of the office, you can often find Lee reading, cooking, sewing and gardening.

Craig has been with the Sellers Room since 2005 and while he has been involved in many areas of the company since then his main role is project manager/detailer, putting his extensive knowledge of how things run and experience managing large-scale residential and commercial projects to good use. Craig's favourite product is the Laminex Soft Touch Acrylic, which he says, "looks fantastic and is very durable".

Outside of work, Craig enjoys travelling and spending time with his family (which includes his wife and two children) and friends. He also loves sport (particularly cricket, having represented Nelson at different levels over a period of years) and his resume now includes coaching as well.

Derrick oversees the assembly and installations teams and takes care of production and the Sellers Room’s many diverse projects.

He says, "I have been within the joinery industry for eight years and I especially like working with the Blum product range due to their quality."

Derrick is married with two adult children and enjoys competitive cycling and yacht racing. To relax, he builds furniture and bespoke wood items.

Nhan’s role is as the Sellers Room’s installer, joiner and sometimes emergency CNC machinist. A qualified joiner – completing his apprenticeship through Ara – Nhan has six years of experience and takes pride in his attention to detail.

He says he enjoys the variety of things he can do on the job: “In the workshop, my favourite product is all the Blum hardware for their quality and being fully adjustable, however, my personal choice is King Slide products for durability and affordability.”

Outside of work, Nhan likes to spend time in his tiny workshop tinkering on different project to sharpen his skill. He is also learning martial arts to train both body and mind.

At the Sellers Room, Robert focuses on assembly work. With 4.5 years in joinery and previous experience as a carpenter, Robert brings valuable on-site building skills to the team, and enjoys working with solid timber and metal.

“In my free time, I like fixing and making things in my garage, including unique projects like candlestick holders and steampunk-inspired creations. I also love camping and travelling with my family.”

Harry’s primary role within the Sellers Room is the CNC/edgebander machinist, although he also works on the assembly side when required. Harry assists with the loading and unloading and delivery of machinery, and is at the learning stages of installing – so far, his favourite product is MDF because it’s so versatile. 

With just under four years of joinery experience, Harry is qualified through BCITO in cabinet making. 

“I've got a young family and partner with two toddler boys so outside of work I like to go on excursions and camping with them to take in New Zealand’s amazing scenery,” Harry says.

At the Sellers Room, Lace is a joiner and fitter with 25 years of joinery experience and 20 years in furniture making. His role involves making and fitting various items.

“I particularly enjoy working with solid timber,” Lance says. “When I’m not at work, I like to travel around in my Mini, which I restored myself.”
